Work Life Profile for ISTP (The Investigator)

...ISTPs have a practical and objective attitude to life. They are quiet, down to earth individuals who prefer action to words. They have a good grasp of the concrete realities of living, and are more interested in facts, figures and what they can see, hear and feel to theories, abstractions or philosophies.

Mentally ISTPs are thoughtful and analytical. Very little escapes their notice, since they are astute observers of the world around them. This, combined with their eye for detail and their alertness to inconsistencies means that they often spot the flaws in an idea, design or plan before others.

ISTPs value knowledge and expertise, and enjoy mastering practical skills and the subjects that interest them. To them, information is a source of security, so they gather as much data about the world around them as they can.

ISTPs are focused, rigorous and objective, and are skilled at sifting through masses of data or evidence. Challenge, especially of a technical nature, galvanizes and enthuses them. They seek variety and change in their lives and dislike predictability and regimentation.

Is this a fair description of your personality? YesNot Sure
