... ISTJs have a practical and thoughtful approach to life. They see the world in terms of facts and realities, which they deal with in an objective and decisive manner. They are traditional in outlook and their lives are structured and orderly, since they value stability highly.

ISTJs will go to great lengths to create and maintain physical and financial security. They are superb planners and organisers who are able to bring clarity and order to potentially chaotic situations. They are well informed and rarely speak without being sure of their facts.
