Based on your answers, you are an ISFJ (The Custodian)

ISFJ is short for Introvert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging - terms used in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (M.B.T.I.®) to show your preferences. M.B.T.I.® is used across the world in recruitment and team building.

How can knowing my Personality Type help me succeed in work and life?

  • By understanding the blindspots associated with your personality type, you can avoid the common career pitfalls encountered by people like yourself.
  • You can also identify your unique strengths, motivations, and any skills or qualities you may need to develop.
  • Finally, knowing your personality type helps you avoid the 'square peg in a round hole' trap, by matching your individual preferences to the right work and career choices.

The ISFJ Career Fulfillment Guide

Unlike conventional self-help books, the ISFJ Career Fulfillment Guide is written specifically for your personality type, and comes complete with tailored guidance on your key strengths in the workplace; typical career choices for your type; how to market yourself in today's competitive environment; your learning style; and self-development exercises culled from applied psychology.

It also contains the complete ISFJ Personality Profile.
Written by professional career coach James Hunt and co-author Graham Boston, the Career Fulfillment Guide is a distillation of over 15 year's experience of one-to-one coaching and leading workshops for people facing career change.

ISFJ Learning Style Profile

ISFJs learn best by experiencing, practicing and memorizing. For them, theory and the links that can be made to their existing knowledge and skills, comes later.

You prefer to learn in an orderly and self-paced manner, and thus benefit from structured, well thought-out training programs, self-teaching courses and practical workshops. Demonstrations and practical examples are of more use to you than theory or discussion, though you do enjoy reading and quiet reflection, and you have a great capacity to memorize facts. Being set (and achieving) regular targets ensures that you maintain interest motivation.

You learn equally well on your own or with others, though to learn best you need to have a positive relationship with your teacher and to have factual information presented in such a way that you can link it either to your personal experience or your values. Loose, unstructured teaching with unclear outcomes or with a high degree of experimentation, personal interaction, theory or 'play' does not work well for you.

The above is an extract from the ISFJ Career Fulfillment Guide. Is it a fair description of your learning style? If yes, you'll find the Guide invaluable an invaluable tool for managing your work life, finding a new job or changing career. If you're not sure, you can start over, making different choices.
